This years event we will be mixing it up a little bit! We will have the car and truck show, sound competition, limbo, and the food trucks and vendors booths. We will also be adding a two step competition, bouncy castle for the kids, photo booth for photos of you and your vehicle, a project car class, and a road rally to the event. There will be a scavenger hunt, door prizes, and the fastest spare tire change competition. Local technical schools and automotive clubs will also be in attendance. Tune in the Spring is a not for profit car meet and show that takes place annually in Wasilla, Alaska. The event brings our states very large and extremely diverse automotive family together; and kicks off another busy season of racing, showing, and building.



 General Rules

General Rules:

1. All show cars must be registered with the show staff prior to participation. This makes you eligible for the competition on Sunday and eligible for the raffle.

2. Entry fee is $5 per person for access to the grounds, and $15 per vehicle. Grounds entry fee comes with entry into the event raffles, all proceeds are donated directly to the museum; Vehicle entry fees are dispersed as prizes for the car show.

3. The main event will take place on Sunday the 23nd. Show entry deadline is 2 pm on Saturday. Judging will begin promptly at 2:30. Gates open on Saturday at 4 pm for early setup.

4. The issued show number MUST be affixed to the windshield and cannot be transferred to other vehicles.

5. Car show spaces are designated by show class and are available on a first come, first serve basis daily. You have the opportunity to choose your vehicles space within the designated area.

6. All vehicles must be kept in their chosen space during the judging period. If a vehicle is moved it may be skipped. Vehicles will be marked upon being judged. Staff is not responsible for vehicles that exit the grounds before being judged.

7. Pop-up tents and stakes must be within the allocated space. Aisles must be kept open at all times for emergency vehicle access as required by our public safety agencies. Any offenders are subject to removal and expulsion from the event.

8. You are responsible for securing your car and any personal items. Security is not provided in this area at any time and you park at your own risk.

9. Loud music, radios, stereos, TVs, loudspeakers, etc. ARE NOT permitted in the show unless requested by the judges.

10. The peoples choice category part of the car show is voted by the people. Vehicle owners may vote for their favorite vehicle at the show by texting the car number to (907)-903-0363. Votes must be turned in by 2:00pm on Sunday. Results of the voting will determine the Peoples Choice presented during the awards ceremony on Sunday at 5 pm.


12. Safety is the primary concern when dealing with a large crowd and motor vehicle movement. Anyone operating a motor vehicle in an unsafe way will be removed and expelled from the event. Traffic movement should be minimized for the safety of those attending the Tune in the Spring event.

13. Underage drinking and/or operation of any motor vehicle while impaired are strictly prohibited. Violation of this will result in removal from the event by local law enforcement.

14. Generators causing excessive fumes and/or noise are not allowed. Generators must be vented to a point such that fumes will not funnel into surrounding areas occupied by other participants.

15. Trash containers are provided on the show grounds. PLEASE use them to keep your space and surrounding area clean. As you exit the event, do not leave trash or car parts on your space.

16. Motor vehicles cannot be operated by anyone who does not have a valid drivers license.

17. Reproduction of event passes or tickets issued by the Tune in the Spring Event is strictly prohibited. Offenders will be removed and expelled from the event, and banned from future events.

18. The Tune in the Spring event coordinators reserve the right to relocate or remove any participant as necessary for ANY purpose.
All fees pertaining to the event are non-refundable.

All donations and proceeds from Tune in the Spring go to the host, The Alaska Transportation Museum, or are dispersed as prizes throughout the event. This is a non-profit event ran by volunteers. Please direct questions to the show coordinators listed below:
