EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
Race Wars Car Show and 1/2 mile side by side roll racing event just added a standing 1 mile race

Event Details

Race Wars is back and this year we have added a 1mile run to our event. Cool weather and over 1.5 miles of runway to play on. Car show, 1/2 mile and 1 mile options available.

We will have strict rules on the Racing events. There is absolutely NO BURNOUTS- you will be escorted from the venue by Police.

**** ALL VEHICLES MUST BE APPROVED**** You will be asked to submit pictures of your vehicle for approval

We have very strict guidelines for our racing events and want to assure all vehicles are safe. Safety is our number one priority.
We have Tech and staff support who worked plenty of events inspecting all cars and bikes, this includes the riders and drivers to ensure everyone will be safe out there.

Motorcycle tech and Rider safety gear requirements

Rider safety gear
Helmet: Full faced SNELL M2010 or newer. European ECE 22.05 is accepted as well. DOT only helmets are not acceptable. Helmet and visor must be in pristine condition.
Leathers: One piece full racing leathers or two piece suits that zip together 360 degrees, in good condition, are acceptable. Built in back protector or separate back protector is required. Cordura or synthetic material riding suits are not suitable.
Gloves: Gauntlet style leather gloves.
Boots: Leather boots completely covering the ankle, suitable for high speed racing.
All rider gear approval is at the discretion of the tech inspector
Motorcycle requirements
Wheels and Tires
Wheels shall be free of any defects, bends or cracks
Tires shall be free of any defects, cracks and dry rot. The manufacture date of all tires shall be less than 5 years old, i.e. 4012 or newer. (The 4012 indicates 40th week of 2012, any tire older than that will not be allowed). Absolutely no patched, plugged or in any way repaired tires will be allowed. Tires must be approved for the anticipated speeds of your motorcycle. No tubes or tube type tires allowed. Tires must have adequate tread, minimum 3/32 and/or not into the wear indicators. DOT tires are preferred although roadracing slicks will be considered. Drag slicks are not allowed.
Brakes
Motorcycle must have a functioning front and rear brake in top notch operating condition. This includes proper fluid levels, pad or shoe wear, no cracks or abrasions in hydraulic lines, no leaks and rotors and drums in top operating condition. Brake lever and pedal must have a firm feel and must not impinge upon the handlebar. All brake components must be properly secured and torqued.
Chassis
Frame, forks, suspension components, chain and sprockets must be in top operating condition, structurally sound and adjusted properly. This includes, but is not limited to, no cracks or shoddy repairs of frames, no leaking forks or shocks. Chain and sprockets must be in good condition and adjusted properly. An LSR rated metal chain guard is desired (.100 material) but the OEM chain guard specific to that motorcycle will be allowed. Rear axle cotter pin or suitable clip must be installed where applicable.
All axles, suspension components, etc., must be properly secured and torqued.
Controls
All controls including proper handlebar rotation from stop to stop (the bar hitting the gas tank or fairing is not allowed), self-closing throttle, a kill switch or key accessible to the rider are required.
Levers must not be broken or have pointed ends. They must have the balls on the end.
A properly installed steering damper is required.
A lanyard type kill switch that attaches to the ride and kills all power is required. Attaching to the existing kill switch or rocker switch is not suitable.
Miscellaneous:
Gas cap, fluid reservoirs, oil fill, dip sticks, drain plugs, oil filter, radiator cap, fluid lines and clamps must all be secure.
All bodywork must be properly secured.
Cameras and camera mounts must be secure and not interfere with the rider.
No leaks or loose items will be tolerated.
Summary:
Approval of all of the above is at the discretion of the tech inspector. The motorcycle must be in tip top operating condition. This is for your own safety.
Recommendations:
Safety wiring of the front axle and pinch bolts, oil fills, dip stick (where required), oil drains, and oil filter are highly recommended though not required at this time.
