EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
The 3rd Annual Chevrolet Performance COPO CAMARO SHOOTOUT presented by COPO Parts Direct is run in conjunction with the NMCA All-American Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park. This is the largest gathering of late-model and vintage COPO Camaros in the U.S.

Event Details

NMCA's proud to host the 3rd Annual Chevrolet Performance COPO Camaro Shootout presented by COPO Parts Direct at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk Ohio, the weekend of August 25-29, 2021. This special race takes place the weekend after the Woodward Dream Cruise and the weekend before the NHRA U.S. Nationals, and features the largest gathering of COPO Camaro's anywhere!

Three COPO classes to choose from: COPO Battle is open to all combinations and the most popular class at the Shootout; COPO N/A Heads-Up is a hardcore heads-up class for modified COPO Camaros (factory spec and mildly modified N/A COPOs will probably want to enter COPO Battle; Factory Super Cars is a hardcore heads-up class where COPOs take on Cobra Jets and Drag Paks.

The excitement starts on Thursday with a free Racer Happy Hour & Ice Cram Social where COPO Camaro Shootout teams can enjoy cold beer and huge scoops of ice cream. Friday features a COPO Camaro Shootout lunch sponsored by Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center in the pits in the huge "Camaro Den" tent followed by a Racer Happy Hour and free parts raffle exclusive to COPO Camaro Shootout teams. Current COPO Camaro component manufacturers will give away upwards of $10,000 in free prizes to COPO owners. Saturday will feature the final COPO Camaro Shootout luncheon with a Champion Champaign Celebration at the end of the day in the Winners Circle for COPO Battle and COPO N/A Heads- Up racers.
